Our vision is to increase utilization statistics by empowering emerging adults to take charge of their mental wellbeing by achieving Mental Independence, and we as a community Nurture their Development towards living healthy, meaningful, and sustainable lifestyles.

Our Approach

We focus on innovative pathways towards supporting young people in navigating their mental health journey and ensuring that Hispanic communities have equitable access to care. Through our programming and mental health services, we work to break down barriers to mental health services by using science-based approaches, providing resources, accessible support, and education tailored to the unique needs of young individuals and Hispanic populations. We achieve our mission in 4 ways:

  • We offer free mental health screenings and providing financial assistance for mental health treatment services. By removing financial barriers and promoting early intervention through screenings, we aim to ensure that everyone has access to the mental health support they need. Through these efforts, we strive to create a society where mental health is prioritized and individuals can thrive with the necessary resources and support.

  • The nonprofit's approach to achieving our mission of advancing mental health education and access to resources involves providing mobile mental health hub programs. These programs consist of an outreach team dedicated to offering mental health support and resources in engaging, bilingual, and evidence-based ways tailored for individuals aged 16 to 25. By bringing mental health services directly to the target demographic through these mobile hubs, we aim to break down barriers to access and create a more inclusive and supportive environment for young adults seeking mental health assistance.

  • At The MIND Project, we are dedicated to advancing mental health education and access to resources through our innovative approach of offering engaging and inclusive mental health community events. By ensuring our events are bilingual, we cater to the Hispanic community, making mental health education accessible to a wider audience. Our focus on creating interactive events specifically tailored for 16-25 year olds ensures that we are effectively reaching and engaging with the young adults who need these resources the most. Our strategic approach involves meeting these groups where they are, whether it be partnering with schools, workplaces, health centers, or community organizations, to ensure that our events have a meaningful impact and reach those in need of mental health support.

  • At The MIND Project, our approach to achieving our mission of advancing mental health education and access to resources involves advocating for policy change within spaces and organizations that primarily serve individuals aged 16-25, including the Hispanic community. Part of our policy work includes engaging with stakeholders, leadership, and community owners to implement mental health initiatives that support well-being and foster a culture of prioritizing mental health among young adults. By working closely with these key players, we aim to create sustainable changes that will positively impact the mental health outcomes of the 16-25 age group, particularly within the Hispanic community.
